The premier edition of this years Foshan Metal Art Symposium team was truly international, a privilege to be invited as one of the four artists alongside Christiane Pott-Schlager (Austria), Ciro (Italy) and Hung (Hong Kong/China) and myself (Britain). Where better to progress my project based on Chinese imperial robes than in China itself.
The symposium consisted of 2 weeks on site creation, at Foshan New Media Park (Guandong China). We all individually made our works alongside a great team of translators and technicians.

As part of the symposium we also gave 2 sets of talks to over 700 students and parents, art associations and art lovers from the surrounding province about our process and influences.
